About Me

My photo
I started stitching a few years ago thanks to a very dear friend. She has encouraged and taught me so much. I am the Mum of three great kids who I love dearly. I love to stitch in my spare time and even though I am a newbie I enjoy it very much.

It took me most of last weekend to get these together and put on put so good to see it coming together.

I managed to squeeze in time to finish off this small wallhanging for my Mum, it was supposed to be for Mothers Day whoops only a little late. I wont get anytime to sew this weekend. Oh well it will still be there next weekend and it is a long one. Yippee.

Well here is today's progress. I managed to get up to border number 5 (there are 8). So far so good. I am very slow and have made a few mistakes that I hope nobody will notice too much. I will have to wait until next weekend to keep going but I cant wait. Bring on Friday!! Have a good week. Happy Stitching.xox

So I started today by cutting out the stitcheries I have been completing over the last 18 weeks for the Faithful Friend Stitch-a-long.
Next I added the first & second borders to the main centre stitchery.
Now I cant wait to add some more tomorrow. I spent most of today cutting out the 600 pieces that make up the remaining borders. Oh boy I hope it goes together. I have really enjoyed this stitch-a-long and really hope to start another one soon. Whoops better finish this one first

This is the Homespun magazine Stitch-a-long - A Faithful Friend. I loved it when I saw it in the magazine & thought with each stitchery coming out weekly I should be able to keep up. I only have a small amount of stitching to finish and I will be able to start putting it all together. Arrghhh scary. Thanks to all for the encouragement. Keep Stitching xox
This is also from H & P - Home for Summer cushion and was my second project for the year. Just after finishing this one I returned to full time work and dont have anywhere near enough stitching time on my hands anymore.

This is the first project I attempted on my own. I finished it in January this year. After a very difficult few months it was very satisfying to complete something.I love it & keep all my stitching in it. It is Petunia's Garden Bag from Hatched & Patched. My very dear friend Ann took me to H & P and started my journey or shall we say obsession.
