About Me

My photo
I started stitching a few years ago thanks to a very dear friend. She has encouraged and taught me so much. I am the Mum of three great kids who I love dearly. I love to stitch in my spare time and even though I am a newbie I enjoy it very much.

Oops

So here is what silly me has done

and this what I should've done

So I have had a big oops moment, I seem to have had a few lately so it must be time to slow down and concentrate a bit more.

I finished the hexies and all looked good. Next instruction - trim to size..... Easy yep..... should've been.

Stupidly I trimmed both sides instead of just one. Derrrrr me. So now I have no hexagon edge to applique onto the bag because I chopped the edges off.

So I am hoping to fix it and have thought of a couple of different cover-ups.

1. Stitch a strip of the lining fabric over the top of the blue and the hexies

2. Unpick one row of hexies and make to bag slightly smaller

3. Unpick one row and add a strip of lining fabric to top to make bag same size.

4. Or I guess the other one is to get some more fabric and make a new row of hexagons

So has anyone out there in blog land got any suggestions or a better idea.

Many Thanks
