About Me

My photo
I started stitching a few years ago thanks to a very dear friend. She has encouraged and taught me so much. I am the Mum of three great kids who I love dearly. I love to stitch in my spare time and even though I am a newbie I enjoy it very much.

Finally some time to sit at the sewing machine

Finally I have had five minutes to sit at my machine and do some sewing. I have been really busy (as we all are) and haven't had any time for sewing. Amazing how much you can miss it and you don't realise until you get back to it.

My girls and I were very inspired after going to the local Airing of the Quilts in Alstonville on the weekend. We all put our first quilts in and are looking forward to being able to contribute again next year.

This was just a quick attempt at a raggy edge quilt. It is a gift for a little bubba due in a little while. I spotted these goregous green flanelette fabrics and figured they would be perfect.

I did like the way this was very quick to put together. It took longer to snip all the seams than to sew all the squares together.

Then after a wash they fluffed up nicely.

Then woo hoo a finished project in a weekend. Yay, always a nice feeling to have a finished project.

Have a great week. Happy Stitching XOX
